Almost all of them are condemned to a life of poverty and most are women and girls. Seva funds programs to address the problem of blindness among women and girls by increasing eye care through outreach caravans, a charity hospital and special programs. Two-thirds of Egypt’s blind people are women or girls. Almost all of the nation’s blind live in poverty. ~
